GALDA Mentorship Program

The GALDA Mentorship Program connects dermatology residents and early-career dermatologists with experienced, board-certified dermatologists. Through a shadowing opportunity at a mentor's practice, participants can gain additional clinical experience, develop leadership skills, and explore research opportunities.

Participants may receive reimbursement of up to $2,500 for eligible housing and travel expenses associated with their mentorship experience.

Program Details

Applicants are selected based on available funding and mentor availability. Mentor matching also considers each applicant's interests and the availability of a suitable mentor.

Following the mentorship experience, participants are expected to submit a brief written summary of their experience, which may be featured in the GALDA newsletter.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must be current dermatology residents or dermatologists within three years of completing residency.
• Applicants must be current GALDA members with their annual contribution paid.
• Previous recipients of the mentorship program are not eligible.
• Selection depends on the applicant's interests and the availability of a suitable mentor.
• The program is currently limited to U.S. residents.
